Naomi Horton Copeland brings leadership experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, operations, administration, community engagement, and event management to the Military Heritage Museum Board of Directors. Throughout her career, she has successfully led fundraising initiatives, cultivated donor and corporate partnerships, managed organizational operations, and built strong volunteer programs that strengthen mission-driven organizations. Her professional background spans higher education, healthcare, veterans’ organizations, and nonprofit leadership, where she is recognized for her ability to connect people, inspire philanthropy, and turn vision into measurable impact.
A passionate advocate for veterans and military families, Naomi’s commitment to service is deeply rooted in her family’s military legacy, which spans generations of American history. Her lineage includes ancestors who served during the American Revolution, World War II, Korea, and the Vietnam Era, as well as loved ones who served during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and continue to serve during today’s military conflicts. As President and Flight Coordinator of Southwest Florida Honor Flight, she has helps veterans experience the recognition they earned through their service and sacrifice and the welcome home they deserve. Naomi is honored to support the Military Heritage Museum’s mission to preserve, honor, and share the stories of those who have defended our nation while ensuring future generations understand the enduring value of military service.
